These acans come originally from Australia and have been propagated in our system for over a year. Their amazing colors make these corals the perfect centerpiece for any stony coral tank.

Acans do best under medium to high lighting levels so it is highly recommended that you keep these corals under metal halides to maintain their health and coloration. Always keep your acans a good 1-2 inches away from your other species of corals, as they will aggressively sting any coral they come in contact with. While acans act very aggressively towards other species of corals, they will not sting each other, even if you have different color morphs coming in contact with one another. This gives you the ability to completely carpet a small or large area with an intense variety of color. 

Spot feeding these corals a mixture of meaty foods, including mysisand brine will give you spectacular growth rates. By properly maintaining your tank and doing regular spot feeding every other day you can expect baby heads of new acans to completely surround the heads you receive within a month. If you continue your feeding regiment these baby heads will become full size within 1-2 months and in no time at all you will have a spectacular, large, and amazingly colorful showpiece for your reef tank.

Spot feeding can also be done on a weekly basis but we highly encourage you to take a little more time and effort to feed every other day so that your acans can achieve their maximum potential
